Youth Take Over Metro Vancouver in Scouts Canada’s Urban Adventure Race

Saturday, June 8, 2019

WHAT:           Adventure can be found anywhere – especially in our own cities. Scouts Canada is inviting youth in the community ages 8-12 to register and participate in the Urban Adventure Race on Saturday, June 8.  It will be a race to the Final Trail Break finish line as they travel through cities in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia by transit and by foot, locating and completing challenges along the way that will take them to their next clue. Through fun and adventurous activities, the race will test their endurance, teamwork, problem solving and ability to think on their feet.

While the race is taking place, kids of all ages and their families can also challenge themselves with engaging Scouting activities at a free public event at the race’s starting point. Activities include an escape tent (an escape room in a tent), a low ropes course, making survival bracelets, fun games and more.

To register for the race visit: http://www.scouts.ca/news-and-events/key-events/urban-adventure-race.html. Registration closes May 17.
