Beaches: Check out a local beach. Don’t let the summer get away from you and you haven’t been to the beach! Look for beach treasures, make a sand castle, splash in the water, look for crabs and enjoy the sun. Centennial Beach, Kitsilano Beach, Crescent Beach, Steveston Park, White Rock beach and more

Visit a local outdoor wading pool or a water park. What kid doesn’t want to get wet and splash around on a hot day! Water parks have some great interactive water features and most wading pools have fun themes or water games to play as well. Check one out near you!

Go for a Nature walk and see some birds, be sure to check out Serpentine Fen or the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Enjoy nature in Burns Bog or see wildlife at Greater Vancouver Zoo and rent a family bike or bring your own bike with you.

Check out the activities and ride up Grouse Mountain

Go across the Caplilano Bridge and go for a hike

Go to the waterslides at Bridal Falls or Cultus

Rides and fun at the PNE

Amusement park at Cultus, heard it's tons of fun!  Cultus Lake Adventure Park

Check out some fun local farms

Go to a petting zoo

Check out Maplewood Farm

Go to your local fish hatchery

Feed the birds at Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary (bring bird seed or buy a bag when you are there)

Go to Kelowna and visit the Kangaroo Farm!

Rainy Day? Go explore Science World or the Aquarium

Go jump on the jumbo pillow and get some Apple Cider at http://tavesfamilyfarms.com or check out http://www.maanfarms.com/family-fun/ they also have some great fun there too!

Check out the new FuntopiaWorld in Surrey, a place where you can climb like crazy and have a blast!

Go mini golfing at Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford or Bear Creek Train in Surrey

Visit the new Suspension bridge at Cascade Falls in Mission

Go to a local Farmer’s Market and meet the local farmers and artisans, some even have an activity for kids to do.

Check out the Richmond Night Markets, enjoy trying new foods, people watching or shopping

Bring Fish and Chips to the beach and enjoy the view or play in the sand.

Go camping!

Bike rides with the family

Small hikes with the family especially to the waterfalls or a river to swim in

Go fishing or look for mini crabs under rocks, explore!

Go pottery painting at a local studio

Nature Hunt: Have a nature hunt, go to a local park and give the kids a list to find nature items (pick items that are not needed to be picked) to preserve the forest. For younger kids use pictures to help them find the items!

Berry Picking: Head to a Berry Farm and go picking!

Go on the mini trains at Burnaby Confederation Park!

Go to Fort Langley and enjoy the little shops or go to the Fort Langley National Historic Site http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/bc/langley/index.aspx

Ride the Carousal and check out the old town in Burnaby Village Museum http://www.burnabyvillagemuseum.ca/

Try a horse riding lesson!

Build at a Home Depot Kid Workshop (runs once a month)

Rainy Day? Make a fort, make popcorn and watch a family movie from the fort!

Check out the shops, Kids Market and food at Granville Island

Go to the Ice cream shop and enjoy every second!
