Help Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Family Festival win $25,000 - All you have to do is VOTE!

Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Family FestivalExciting news - the Maple Ridge Mountain Festival Society is busy planning a brand new Festival for our communities – a Family Festival in Maple Ridge!

Given that Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows have the highest proportion of children in Metro Vancouver – nearly 6% higher than the region as a whole – we figure it’s high time we had a Festival that celebrates the children, youth and families of our communities!

As such, plans are currently underway to host a multi-day Family Festival in June, 2012 in Memorial Peace Park, the ACT and surrounding venues. As you can appreciate, hosting an event of this magnitude – especially a new event – is no easy feat!  It takes time, resources (aka money!) and lots of people with tons of energy and great ideas.

Alas, on the “money” front, we are very excited to announce that the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Family Festival has been selected as a Finalist in the Keg’s “Thanks A Million” grant contest!  We could win $25,000 for the Festival, which would essentially cover the cost of the Children’s Main Stage Entertainment!

But in order to win the funds, we need your help -  WE NEED YOU TO VOTE FOR THE FAMILY FESTIVAL!  Here’s how - simply click on this link…

and vote for the Festival – it’s that simple!  We need tons of votes, so PLEASE VOTE EVERYDAY UNTIL JUNE 14, when the contest closes.

The contest winners will be announced by the Keg at the end of June, so fingers crossed and thanks in advance for your votes & support!

In the meantime, if you have any ideas, suggestions or would like to participate or help out in any way with the upcoming Family Festival, we’d love to hear from you…Simply send us an email or give me a call and we’ll chat!

Thanks again for your votes – and I hope to hear from you soon,
